I am a self‑taught artist specializing in fantasy art, surreal illustration, and character‑driven storytelling. My artistic foundation is built through intensive self‑study, complemented by certifications and professional training from New Masters Academy and studies with Patrick Jones. This combination of classical knowledge and contemporary practice allows me to move fluidly between traditional and digital media.

A core element of my work is figure drawing and anatomy studies, primarily created with charcoal on newsprint paper. I see charcoal as a unique medium that exists between drawing and painting—it can be pushed, distributed, and shaped across the paper much like paint, allowing for expressive values, atmosphere, and movement. This approach helps me explore gesture, structure, and form in a direct and physical way, strengthening the anatomical foundation behind all of my characters.

For portraits, I work both traditionally with gouache and digitally on tablet or PC, depending on the mood and intent of the piece. My digital workflow allows for precision and experimentation, while traditional media keeps my work grounded in materiality and observation. During the ideation and concept phase, I often use blue and red pencils, focusing on loose construction, rhythm, and storytelling before refining a piece further.

Artistically, I am drawn to characters placed within fantastic and surreal worlds. I enjoy designing figures that feel alive—rooted in believable anatomy, yet existing in imaginative settings shaped by myth, fantasy, and narrative tension. Comics and visual storytelling play an important role in my work, influencing how I approach composition, lighting, and emotional impact.

My influences span both classical and modern masters. Artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Salvador Dalí inspire my respect for anatomy, curiosity, and imagination, while Frank Frazetta, Frank Miller (Batman, 300), and Patrick Jones have shaped my love for bold contrasts, powerful figures, and cinematic storytelling.

Today, my portfolio reflects this fusion of classical figure drawing, expressive charcoal work, portraiture, fantasy illustration, and narrative art. Through my webshop, personal projects, and commissions, I aim to create artwork that feels timeless, atmospheric, and story‑driven—inviting viewers into worlds where character, anatomy, and imagination come together.
